“The land lots which have been acquisitioned are eight hectares and the land dredging for the reservoir construction has been running,” stated Head of Water Resources Division for Jakarta Public Works Department, SM Robert Rajagukguk, Thursday (8/28).
According to Rajagukguk, the land acquisition process is handled directly by North Jakarta Administration Land Procurement Team (P2T).
Jokowi: Marunda Reservoir Construction Finish This End of Year“The process is still running. So, we are working in phases following the land acquisition process which handled by other unit,” he told.
Unfortunately, Rajagukguk cannot confirm when the construction of Marunda Reservoir would finish.
“In principle, budget allocation for Marunda Reservoir construction has been prepared. However, Jakarta Public Works Department cannot just do the work considering there are still land lots which compensation payment hasn’t finished yet,” he uttered.
Besides Marunda Reservoir, Jakarta Provincial Government is currently also building five other reservoirs to resolve flooding problems in the capital city. Those reservoirs are Brigif Reservoir as wide as 10 hectares, Pondok Rangon I Reservoir as wide as 11 hectares, Rawa Kendal Reservoir as wide as 50 hectares, Kampung Rambutan Reservoir as wide as 2.6 hectares, and Cilangkap Giri Kencana Reservoir as wide as 6.4 hectares.
